I have done some grinding on a CNC lathe with reasonable results. I only needed to grind a few parts, which were made from 8620, hardened to 62Rc. The parts required a little OD grinding, and some hairy internal grinding. As these were machine tool spindles with an HSK-60 taper they needed to be right on.
